Project for next term! Okido: Illustration!

Luckily i've got my first choice of project for next term! The reason I choose this project is because i like illustration, and this company is also focus on children development, i think its quite relevant to what i've learned in university in Taiwan (my major in Taiwan is Applied Psychology) and i love kids as well!

Here are some illustrations of Rachel Ortas who is gonna lead us for the next term project! I think my style of illustration i cant say its similar with hers but i think we have some common which are simple lines and not perfect!
For me, imperfect illustrations can become an unigue art work as well. Like children's draw, the outcome maybe not perfect, but because its imperfect, so they're special, aren't they? :)

OKIDO magazine~ I'm in!!!

Photography Exhibition @ LCC

Really love this exhibition held on last week. Everytime when i went trough, i couldnt help to stop and look at these photos. it's like there are so many stories to tell behind the photos. They are vivid, and full of emotions that bring me into them.

My favorite parts of this exhibition

this series of photo shots is also my favorite! and its quite touched me!

this note was kept by Shodor.
before he shared this postcard with us, i didnt pay much attention on this series of photo shots, but after knowing the story behind, it touched me, cuz i had the same situation and experience of my mother.

the touched wall

Really feel lucky that i can study here and stand in front of the wall every time enjoy any kinds of art works from different courses and different countries' students. Hope that there's one day, there will be mine on the wall....:)

Typography

I noticed this interesting ad when i waited for my bus.
There's a theory in psychology talking about human's cognitive system that we are likely to replace something unfamiliar with what we've already known. Like this example below: even *,@ ! are not letters, but we've known they refer to o, a and i.

Task for today's PPD

This is today's task for PPD course. we were asked to find some graphic design companies on the street and do some interview with graphic designers. At the beginning, i was a bit worried about that wasn't it hard to just pop into the companies and ask them questions. But things went well as i hadnt imagined! People in the first company we found were so friendly, the man who opened the door for us even introduced us to his colleagues, everyone smiled and said hi to us (felt warm).

This company is called UNITY, as i walked into the company, i loved the atmosphere there immediately, no matter of the decoration of the lights or the group discussion among colleagues, it made me feel like working inside.

For me, this is quite a nice and special experience for me to walk inside and take a look of UK's design companies and printing companies, it makes me talk to myself that one day i'm gonna sit inside and become a good graphic designer as well! :)
